What type of professionals can I access?

Paraplanners who are at least level 4 diploma qualified, IFA administrators, compliance professionals, mortgage paraplanners and administrators


What are the typical costs the professionals charge?

The professional you work with will be running a small business and will be working completely independently. Therefore, they will not have expensive overheads that are typically present in a larger company. There is also a possibility that they will not be registered for VAT which can provide an immediate discount to fees.

The important point here is that you can agree on the fees directly with the professional.

How much control would I have over work prioritisation?

The professionals are looking for long-term relationships and understand the order they receive work from you may not be the order you would like the work to be complete.

By having a direct relationship with them, you can let them know what your priorities are.


How much interaction can I have with the professionals, particularly if there are special instructions, or if I need amendments to be made?

By having a direct relationship with the professionals you can speak with them as often as you feel is required. At the outset, when things are new, some amendments may be needed, but as you build a relationship, your professional support will have a far greater understanding of your requirements


What involvement does Finlink have on a day-to-day basis?

All your day-to-day work will be conducted between you and the professional.  Between you, you can control the work that is required to meet your business needs and ensure this is delivered in the timescales that you need it.

Whilst we will not have any involvement on a day-to-day basis, we will maintain an ongoing relationship with you to ensure that all is going well. 

In addition, should your requirements change we want to be on hand to help you should you need us.


Will the paraplanning support work in line with my report templates, and processes or impose their own on me?

You will have a direct relationship with the paraplanner where they can work with your processes, templates, and systems.


What systems do they use?

They will use your systems where you need them to.


How do we transfer data?

The professionals can either work on your systems directly, or if you’d prefer, they can use a cloud storage device such as onedrive where you can drop the required information. If you’ve not used this before, the professional will be able to guide you through this.


What do they need to write the report?

The same things you or your team would need to write a report.


What do we do to vet the professionals?

Like any business-to-business relationship we don’t ask for CVs or ask employers for references. Instead we gain our trust by asking the professional to explain their industry knowledge, their experiences and to demonstrate their technical knowledge, both through tests but also questions.

We speak with lots of prospective professionals each year and this vetting process means, to date, we only work with c5% of those who have wished to work with us.
